The aim of this two-day workshop is to better understand how dataset publishers can make the best of both the SDMX and semantic web worlds in serving their customers. The two days will be organised as follows:
Day 1 - Thursday 4th February 2010
- foster a common understanding of the progress and challenges of each of the represented communities:
- SDMX
- Linked Data / Semantic Web
- Publishers of statistical datasets
- Users of statistical datasets
- Develop a number of hypotheses regarding how best to exploit both SDMX and the semantic web

- Start the process of developing guidelines for publishers of aggregate statistical data
- making best use of SDMX and RDF/ linked data
- encouraging development of reusable tools based on the guidelines
- accelerating the adoption of both SDMX and RDF/linked data
